Advice for writing tickets for Product Managers - How to give clear instructions in your ticket.

1. Name of your ticket: The specific name of the product as loaded in Travelbox

e.g.  Classical Rhine Cruise - Amsterdam to Basel

not The Rhine cruise

2. Module choice:  Which module is the product in which needs to be built. fixed or updated. Only one module per ticket.

Note: The only time DP is selected is when you want to update an item in the DP (change the search component or search criteria) This should not be used if there is a change in an item within a DP.

e.g. South African Extravaganza need a TOUR component updated within the DP. This should be marked as Tour and the name of the ticket should be the name of the Tour not the DP. The Tour has the issue NOT the DP.

3. Description: Be clear and specific with your instructions. Assume nothing has come before if this is a new ticket. Ensure all relevant information is attached.

e.g.

This is unclear and not enough information

it is to be loaded the same way as the ABC Test Tour TB except the rate will be fixed.

Please name them

Tour DCE

and

Tour FGH

Let me know if you need any other info.

This is better

Remember: The point is to have everything spelt out precisely and all attachments correctly added so that the loader does not have to come back to you to ask any questions.

Everything that they need should be there. use the templates and read the contracts before submitting.
